RIDES

KSU 🏁 and checking in

How a ride goes live, and why it says you are not at the meetup yet.

KSU 🏁 — kickstands up — is the button in the middle of the tab bar. It is how a ride goes live for the whole pack at once.

  • With a ride already live, KSU is one tap straight into it.
  • With no ride live, it opens the hub: Next ride · Solo ride now · Plan a route · Explore the map.

Check in

Before the live map opens, Pack checks that you are actually there. Hit I’M HERE and it takes a fresh GPS reading — not an old one — and confirms one of two things:

  • you are within about 300 m of the meet point, or
  • you are within about 500 m of a rider already on the ride (you caught up on the road).

“Not at the meetup yet”

That means the check failed. It is not you being locked out on purpose — the pack map is only for the riders actually on the ride.

  1. 1Check the distance the screen shows you. If it is way off, your phone has a stale GPS position — step outside, away from the building.
  2. 2Make sure location permission is granted and set to precise.
  3. 3Wait. It retries on its own every few seconds.

Late? You do not have to go back to the meet point. Once the pack is rolling, catching up to within ~500 m of any rider on the ride checks you in too.
