Acadia National Park in one loop: from the Hulls Cove Visitor Center the route climbs the Cadillac Summit Road to the top and comes back down the same way, then rides the one-way stretch of the Park Loop Road past Sand Beach, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliff, and returns north by Jordan Pond and Bubble Rock. It's 32 miles. You need a park entrance pass, and from May 20 to October 25, 2026 the summit road also needed a $6 vehicle reservation on Recreation.gov, one per motorcycle. The Park Loop Road closes from December 1 to April 14.

Cadillac Mountain rises about 1,530 feet and is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard of the United States. The Cadillac Summit Road is a dead end: the route climbs to the summit lot and comes back down the same road to the Park Loop Road. From May 20 to October 25, 2026 the summit road needed a vehicle reservation, $6, sold only on Recreation.gov and never at the park, and motorcycles count as vehicles: each bike needs its own reservation, so a group of eight needs eight. That's on top of the park entrance pass, which every visitor needs.

The Park Loop Road runs about 27 miles in all; John D. Rockefeller Jr., who helped pay for it, brought in Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. in 1929 to lay it out. Past the Champlain overlook the route enters the one-way stretch along the coast, by Sand Beach, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliff: you can't turn back for anyone, so regroup in the parking lots. Then it heads inland past Jordan Pond and Bubble Rock and back north to Hulls Cove. The Park Loop Road and the paved park roads are open from April 15 to December 1; in winter only the Ocean Drive and Jordan Pond Road sections stay open to cars. Summer and fall foliage bring heavy traffic.
